Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off four new Vande Bharat Express trains from Banaras railway station in Varanasi. The new routes, Banaras–Khajuraho, Lucknow–Saharanpur, Firozpur–Delhi, and Ernakulam–Bengaluru, aim to boost regional connectivity, tourism, and economic growth. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined the ceremony as locals celebrated the modern, comfortable trains that mark another leap in India’s rail modernisation journey.
