Baghat bank case: Govt employee held for Rs 32.79 lakh loan default

A teacher from Shimla was arrested for defaulting on a Rs 32.79 lakh house loan from Baghat Urban Cooperative Bank. After arrest, he paid Rs 1 lakh and secured release. The bank, facing Rs 137 crore in bad loans, is auctioning properties to recover funds, after RBI imposed a withdrawal cap.
