India has been awarded the hosting rights for the 2030 Commonwealth Games. Ahmedabad was announced as the host city following a meeting of the Commonwealth Sports Executive Board in Glasgow, Scotland, on Wednesday. India is hosting the Commonwealth Games after a gap of 15 years.
