In a surprising turn of events, the TADA court in Jammu has granted freedom to Shafat Ahmed Shangloo, who had been detained by the CBI over the notorious 1989 abduction of Rubaiyya Sayeed. The court cited insufficient evidence to justify keeping him behind bars.
