Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has expressed serious concern over recent statements by Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, warning that they point toward the risk of a broader military confrontation. Asif said Pakistan must stay vigilant, stressing that he neither dismisses nor trusts India’s intentions. He cautioned that an all-out war or hostile strategy, including border incursions, cannot be ruled out. His remarks were a direct response to Dwivedi’s comments likening May’s four-day clash under Operation Sindoor to merely a “trailer,” suggesting India’s readiness for a much stronger reaction if provoked. Dwivedi emphasized that India is fully prepared for future developments and would respond firmly should Pakistan engage in any mischief.
