A decades-old tree at Krishna Kanth Park in Yousufguda, Hyderabad, was felled by GHMC’s Urban Biodiversity Wing to prevent unauthorised entry into the park at night. The move triggered strong reactions from morning walkers, yoga practitioners, and environmental activists, who criticised the lack of ecological assessment and demanded a detailed explanation.
