HSBC PMI: Manufacturing activity at nine-month low

India’s manufacturing sector saw a slowdown in November, reaching a nine-month low. This easing was attributed to US tariffs impacting sales and production. Festive season demand also contributed to the dip. While international sales remained strong, overall growth momentum weakened. New orders and output experienced a decline, reflecting tough market conditions and increased competition. Business optimism has also fallen.
