The High Court of Karnataka on Friday directed the State government to file a status report on the implementation of various important provisions of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, on a PIL petition, which has complained about Karnataka’s ‘persistent and unjustifiable delay’ in implementing the mandate of this law meant for welfare of persons with disabilities.
