Maharashtra forms task force to shield MSMEs and exporters from Trump’s tariffs

The Chandra Committee is also likely to suggest that exporters to the US could be helped by a state interest subvention scheme of 2%-3% to avail pre and post shipment credit. This would offset some of the tariff impact and high credit costs of MSME exporters. MSMEs involved in textiles from Bhiwandi, Kolhapur, Sangli and Solapur have already alerted the state government that they were losing ground to exports from Bangladesh and Vietnam.
