Meta reportedly ended its internal research on how Facebook and Instagram affect user’s mental health. Unredacted filings in a US school districts’ class-action lawsuit revealed that a 2020 study, ‘Project Mercury. Meta chose to halt the research instead of expanding or sharing the negative findings. Meta has denied these allegations.
