The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has imposed Rs.10,000 fine on the Sonbhadra DM for failing to submit a timely report on alleged illegal mining in Uttar Pradesh. The tribunal said the delay hindered proceedings despite repeated extensions and clear directives.
