Assembly voting Schedules for three States to be Announced by the EC Today at 2:30 PM.

At 2:30 PM today, the Election Commission of India (ECI) will announce the schedule for the Assembly elections in three states. According to a press release from the EC, the dates for the assembly elections in Nagaland, Meghalaya, and Tripura will be released today.

The Election Commission of India held a press conference to announce the dates for the general elections for the legislative assemblies of Nagaland, Meghalaya, and Tripura in 2023.

This year, the Nagaland Legislative Assembly's term is set to expire on March 12, while Meghalaya's and Tripura's terms are set to expire on March 15 and 22, respectively.

Nine people will be voting this year. Assembly elections will also be held in Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, and Telangana in addition to Nagaland, Meghalaya, and Tripura.

Jammu and Kashmir, a Union Territory, is also anticipated to hold assembly elections this year. Since November 2018, the legislative assembly has been dissolved.

The following elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be the first since 2014 and the first since the territory's special status was withdrawn in 2019 after the Center repealed Article 370 and formally ceased to be a state.
