Samajwadi Party founder, Mulayam Singh Yadav passed away at Gurugram's Medanta Hospital at the age of 82.
The former UP CM was admitted at Gurugram's Medanta Hospital on August 22. He was admitted to the hospital for kidney infection, and many other health concerns. On October 2nd he was moved to the ICU.
In the last few weeks, the health condition of the former SP leader started deteriorating and reached a critical point where he had to be put on lifesaving drugs in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Medanta hospital in Gurugram.

UP CM, Yogi Adityanath tweets: "The demise of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji is extremely sad. His death marked the end of a major pillar of socialism and a struggling era. I pray to God for the peace of the departed soul and express my condolences to the bereaved family and supporters."
Moreover, CM announces three days of state mourning. "His last rites will be performed with full state honours." said CM, Yogi Adityanath
Late Mulayam Singh, first became CM of Uttar Pradesh in 1989 in the congress party, after which he founded Samajwadi Party in 1992.
He served the nation as defense minister of India in 1996.
The demise of the dynamic personality and influential leader is being stated as the "End of Era".
