Panjab University faces a shutdown on November 26 if the Senate election schedule isn’t announced by November 25. The PU Bachao Morcha, supported by numerous groups, demands restoration of the democratic structure, fearing the National Education Policy. The protest, now extending across Punjab, also involves political pressure on the central government.
