Ukraine’s chief negotiator Andriy Yermak has set a firm red line in the Trump‐mediated peace talks, stressing that as long as Volodymyr Zelensky is president, Kyiv will not give up any territory to Russia and that Ukraine’s sovereignty and borders are non‐negotiable. At the same time, Vladimir Putin has tied any ceasefire to Ukraine withdrawing its forces from areas Moscow claims, warning that otherwise Russia will keep using military force—underscoring the stark gap between Ukraine’s insistence on territorial integrity and Russia’s territorial demands.
