The statement came shortly after Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a stern ultimatum to U.S. President Donald Trump, warning Washington against further aggression. Araghchi said what began as an enemy demand for “unconditional surrender” ended in a plea for an “unconditional ceasefire,” crediting Iran’s leadership, military readiness, and national cohesion for forcing the shift.
