Block Sim Card:

The most important step is to block your sim card. This will protect your bank from receiving any OTP request for transactions. since most of the payments are OTP verifies, it is best to block service before it's too late

 

Block Mobile Banking Access:

It is advised to block the mobile number to protect the thief from misusing your contact number. this is just an additional step that protects you and your bank details

 

Visit Local Bank Brank To Change Mobile Number:

So after you have blocked your sim card, the bank account still requires a phone number to notify you in case of any transaction. therefore visiting your nearest bank branch to change the phone number. 

 

Deactivate Upi Payment:

Deactivating UPI payment saves you from any transaction being carried out through mobile banking applications like Paytm, Phonepe, Google Pay, etc. 

 

Block Mobile Wallet:

Mobile wallet transactions do to require any OTP verification, therefore the wallet needs to be blocked as soon as possible. if you save a large amount of money in your mobile wallet on apps, the person with your device can use that money.
