Elector's Photo Identity Card unofficially called the Voter ID card is a card issued by the Election Commission of India to the citizens of India, registered citizens who are 18 years or above and eligible for casting vote in all elections. The voter id card acts as proof of identity to maintain security and around false vote casting. These cards also serve as identity proof documents in the case of applying for any government or private policy, service, or investment.
Many people seek to get a colored version of the voter ID, for many reasons. It is similar to the old card just in the colored version. The card has the name of the cardholder, date of birth, father's name, gender, age, serial number, and a colored photograph along with a hologram sticker of authentication.
