New Delhi got a new attraction for its city, Bharat Darshan Park, in December 2021. It is a place to visit with family, couples, and children. This park is in Punjabi Bagh, and it got inaugurated by our Home Minister Amit Shah. Its coverage area is over 8.5 acres, with 22 replicas of the famous monuments of India in there. This park was uniquely made by transforming the waste products by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation.
This park is environmentally friendly and runs on solar energy. It has five solar panels and a rooftop solar panel to light up monument replicas in the nighttime to highlight the delicate artwork without the usage of electricity.
These 22 replicas used 350 tonnes of scrap materials like unused old vehicles, fans, iron rods, nuts, and bolts in their making.
Thousands of flowers are planted here like Champa, Takoma, Kachnar, and Benjamina, to attract more visitors.
