We have seen many things in movies. Bollywood has gifted us with many on-screen romantic relationships, friendships, siblings, and parents that always leave a mark on us, inspiring us to imbibe the good qualities of each character. While there are movies that were awful on-screen parents, there are a few parents that blessed us with some inspiring and relatable ones. These parents were so incredibly supportive of their on-screen children and became our instant dear. And here, we have listed some of these brightly written characters as parents.
Priyamvada & Jeetendra in Badhaai Ho
Ayushman Khurana's films constantly reach cinema with various real-life subjects, and Badhaai Ho was one of them. Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao starred together as the parents of Ayushman Khurana in the movie. These two were the most iconic desi parents, who showed the audience that parents are also humans who can be in love, even after attaining a particular age. Their grown love and caring connection taught us that we should never illogically judge our parents.
Sarita & Ram in Wake Up Sid
Sarita and Ram played the parents of Ranbir Kapoor in Wake Up Sid. Their indirect and peculiar love and support made their son responsible. Supriya Pathak Thakur, his on-screen mother, always tried to become his confidante. Anupam Kher, his on-screen father, cut him off financially to enable him to change from a naive boy to a liable man.
Shivani & Sanjay in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Farooq Shaikh, the on-screen father of Ranbir Kapoor, made a soft spot in our hearts with his part of love in the quietest ways. He lets him understand that he is forever by his side and free to go wherever and do whatever he desires. Tanvi Azmi, the on-screen mother of Ranbir, at first presented us with the cruel stepmom vibe, but she was the first one who hugged him on his coming home after his father died. She also understood his remorse and sorrow and showed him the support and advice that pushed him to feel better.
Nandini & Vijay in Drishyam
Drishyam showed that even though a person believes in fairness and right, he will go to any height to protect his family, even if it involves a tricky lie. Shriya Saran Bhatnagar and Ajay Devgn played the parents, saved their daughter's honor, and fought for her with the entire world.
Meeta & Raj in Hindi Medium
Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar performed the role of two anguished parents willing to go to any length for their kid. They were relatable to our parents, who came from a place of apprehension. And in the end, they accomplished what any parent would do for a finer life for their kids.
