Nature is filled with wonders and amazing things. All things we can think of and more already exist in nature one such amazing phenomenon was discovered by volunteers in California. The photos shared on the Facebook page of South California state park were adorable and amazing.
The photograph was posted with the caption: “Edisto Beach State Park sea turtle patrol had a very rare find during a routine nest inventory.” The post had a picture of a baby turtle or should we say two. The picture had a turtle with a genetic mutation to result in two heads.
This true genetic mutation is called Craniopagus parasitics which causes the twins to fuse into one another and form the two-headed animal. This type of mutation is extremely rare and therefore attracts the attention of so many people on the internet.
The volunteers soon after discovering the baby turtle crawling went searching for the nest and soon sealed the area to protect the eggs from being harmed.
