“Broadband, especially mobile broadband, has become (an) integral part of the daily lives of the citizens. This received a big boost through the rapid expansion of 4G services across the country since 2015. Eighty-crore subscribers have access to broadband today compared to ten crore subscribers in 2014,”  said the statement.

The bidder can surround the spectrum after 10 years within a reasonable criterion, without any liabilities. the telecom company to make the highest bidding in the auction will have the option to pay for the 5G in 20 EMIs.

The end goal is optimization of internal communication and reducing message transfer timing to increase the speed of growth in machine-to-machine communications, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) across automotive, healthcare, agriculture, energy, and other sectors.
