Data theft by wifi company? one step can save your private info

Broadly like Google, your ISP knows pretty much everything about you. And ISPs transfer your confidential details for marketing and further uses. You think that using incognito mode cannot share your information with others. But it only belongs to you and your software. Incognito would not save your browsing history, cookies and site data and information entered in forms but your all activity is visible to your Internet Service Provider like the websites you visit.

While linked to your house Wi-Fi, you are less likely to be attacked by strangers than on a public connection. However, your information is still weak. Your ISP or internet service provider—Airtel, Jio, and BSNL  or other company who you paid each month for WI-Fi - can access your internet data. Your ISP can see:

  • when, where and how you browse
  • this data can be collected and sold to advertisers even if you’re using the “private” browsing function, and
  • It can be risky in the wrong indicators in the case of a data breach.

All the advertisements which we have shown on our mobile phones or computer screen are related to our search engines and this information is collected through the ISPs. Your ISP isn’t the only possible liability that you’ve obtained into your own home. Unfortunately, many of our favorite apps and internet services—most notably Facebook—have been called out for the way they’ve used the data of their users.

VPN protects your data while you are on other webs, hiding your search history, bank details, passwords and more from bad-intentioned internet aliens.
