Maharashtra water taxi services start between ports, read details and charges

The glamor capital of India Mumbai is always on its toe running around, and chasing dreams. This is one of the reasons but it is always crowded from local trains to traffic lights. You will always find Mumbaikars rushing. 

The government is working to make connectivity easier, faster and more convenient for people living in the city and for tourists. Once initiative by Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray was the introduction of the Mumbai water taxi service.

Mobile Port trust with Maharashtra Maritime board and CIDCO has introduced taxi services for people traveling from Mumbai to Navi Mumbai and vice versa.

These taxi services reduce the traveling time taken by half by introducing speed boats that cover three ports between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. 

Patakhe services will run between 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. throw out to your exception during the monsoon season when the is the water level rising is high. The taxi services start from Belapur in Navi Mumbai and travel to Domestic Cruise Terminals in South Bombay, Elephanta, and Jawaharlal Nehru Port.

 

Instructions  

The passengers are advised to carry the alert photo ID and arrive 30 minutes before departure, one fare right can carry 12 passengers on a one-way tour.

Passengers can carry up to 10 kg luggage per person and will be charged rs 1000 additional per kg for the above-limited weight capacity. 

The word that services are nonrefundable and canceled, but if the service is unable to commence on the schedule the passengers will be given an alternative time or 100% refund within 10 working days. 

 

Fare

Currently, the water taxi services are functioning between four routes.

Between Belapur and the domestic cruise terminal the boat takes 35 minutes, the cost of 14520 for 12 guests.

Between the domestic cruise terminal and Elephanta 20 minutes of the journey for 12 will cost 12 000 rupees.

Between Dharmatar and DCT Rs. 12000 is the cost per individual.

For a cruise traveling to multiple destinations starting from Belapur to JNPT and finishing at Belapur via Elephanta the cost is 800 rupees.
