These celebrities are being criticized for not bathing their kids, and experts have strong opinions

Hollywood star couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis in a recent interview on the podcast called armchair detective talked about their family and kids. In the interview the couple made a bold claim about the bathing rituals of their kids.

The couple said in the interview that they told the hosts Dax Shepard and Monica Padman that they don't wash their kids, Wyatt Isabelle, 6, and Dimitri Portwood, 4, every day. They also told the hosts that they do that because the expert says that bathing every day can ruin the natural oil balance of the skin.

The couple said that they follow the same technique. They don't believe in bathing with soap every day. This doesn't mean they stay dirty or unhygienic, they wash simply with water.

Ashton said they don't see the point of using hard chemicals, if they don't see dirt on the kids, it is better to just use simple water.

Doctors agree with this, especially with newborns. The harsh chemicals of the soap can dry out the skins of young kids. This can result in rashes on the soft skin of the babies. Essential bacterias can be washed off too, making the skin of youngsters open for infection and bacterial infections easily.
