14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi created history in cricket with an astonishing exhibition of talent. He scored a blazing 101 runs in just 38 balls playing for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 against the Gujarat Titans. The fastest century in IPL history by an Indian, the one made in just 35 balls, makes him hold the record now over Yusuf Pathan's avid glory of 37 balls in 2010.

No less than spectacular, 11 sixes and 7 fours characterized Suryavanshi's innings. The batting display was aggressive enough to help the Rajasthan Royals achieve perhaps the impossible, chasing 210 runs in 15.5 overs, winning the match by 8 wickets, thus ending their five-match losing spree.

This performance also made him the youngest player ever to score a T20 century, thereby breaking the record for the second time and receiving accolades from cricketing greats such as Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh.

Suryavanshi's rise has been meteoric. At just 13 years of age, he became the youngest player to have ever been bought at an IPL auction for ₹ 1.10 crore by the Rajasthan Royals. At the age of 12, he made his Ranji Trophy debut and went on to score a century for India's Under-19 team against Australia, becoming the youngest-ever centurion in youth cricket history.

With such accomplishments at this age, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is on his way to becoming not just a future star but maybe an icon.
