Ghazal Alagh, the co-founder of Mamaearth, and Vineeta Singh, the co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics, are not just familiar faces from Shark Tank India but are now celebrated for their entrepreneurial achievements. They top the list of young, self-made women entrepreneurs in the country, released by IDFC First Bank and Hurun Report.

Joining them in this prestigious list are other notable women entrepreneurs like Saumya Singh Rathore, Rajoshi Ghosh, Garima Sawhney, and many others, showcasing the rising prominence of women in the entrepreneurial landscape of India.

The list ranks these entrepreneurs based on the value of their enterprises, not on their personal net worth. Significantly, Nykaa's Falguni Nayar leads as the top self-made woman entrepreneur overall, securing the 12th spot on the broader list.

This ranking also sheds light on the evolving trend in Indian entrepreneurship. Notably, Bengaluru has emerged as the most preferred city for entrepreneurs to start their businesses, overtaking traditional hubs like Mumbai and New Delhi.

Anas Rahman Junaid, MD and Chief Researcher at Hurun India, remarked on the diversity and vibrancy of Indian entrepreneurship reflected in the list. He highlighted that one-third of the listed entrepreneurs are under 40, with the eldest being 80 years old, emphasizing the wide age range and geographical diversity of India's entrepreneurial spirit.

The list not only celebrates the success of these entrepreneurs but also serves as an inspiration to many aspiring business leaders across the country.
