Multiple SIM? Read how you can find the phone number linked to the Aadhar card

Many people have more than one sim registered to their name, one for people use, one or more for professional use, and another for multiple other uses.

Aadhar Card is a mandatory document for all citizens of India. The 12 digit number combination is unique for all citizens and is an important document of citizenship. 

Aadhar card is used for identification for all convenient processes and the verification is done through the number linked to the aadhar card. but if you don't have the numbers at hand or you are unsure of the phone number linked to the card, it can be difficult for you to verify your id.

The Department of Telecommunications Released a port for the same issue, you can get your phone number linked to the Aadhar card. 

Under Telecom Analytics for Fraud management and Consumer Protection, you can see the phone number(s) linked to the card and verify the security of your card. 

How to check:

  • Go to TAFCOP's official website,

  • Enter your mobile number

  • You will receive OTP

  • Enter OTP to verify

  • Check for the list of all the phone numbers like the Aadhar card

  • Lock in the number that you are using.

 

Now your only number used for verification is a lock. This is to ensure only one number is issued per user, to ensure safety against identity theft. 

You must also report all the other numbers so that they can not be used to log into your account.
